Kyiv Under Attack: Russian Strikes Kill 15 Overnight
Kyiv had a rough night. Russian missiles and drones hit the city and nearby areas overnight, and by morning, officials confirmed at least 15 people had died, with dozens more hurt.
The attacks mostly hit warehouses and logistics buildings, but residential areas got caught up in it too, with fires breaking out in four different districts of the city. Emergency crews said they were still working through high-risk conditions the next morning since more strikes could come at any time.

This isn’t a one-off thing either. Ukraine has been asking allies for more Patriot missile interceptors for months now, since Russia has been using more long-range ballistic missiles lately, and Ukraine simply doesn’t have enough defense systems to stop all of them. The timing is also notable, since this attack came just days after debris from a Ukrainian drone reportedly landed on a crowded beach in southern Russia, killing several people there too.
For people living in Kyiv, this kind of overnight attack has sadly become part of daily life again, and there’s no clear sign of it slowing down soon.
